Note to all all our children and their families :-

Mrs Calverley and Miss Ravalia have been really impressed by how hard the children have tried in their tests and are pleased to report that everyone has done well. Thank you to parents who helped children take the assessments in their stride and got them to class all ready to go! We will let you know the teacher assessment and the task and test results when all are completed – probably the middle of June! If parents promised a treat for good results …… we think most of you will have to keep your promise!

Visit to Boothan Crescent.

In 2CR we are following the World Cup.

We have done lots of work finding out about the tournament and the countries taking part.

We are learning about Africa and South Africa in particular.

We are enjoying lots of football activities.

One of the best bits was our visit to Bootham Crescent football ground where we were taken round by Pete and Callum.

It was really interesting and we all enjoyed it.

We’ll be following England as long as we are in the competition “Come on England!”

The Snow has gone !!!

We think Winter is finally over so we have taken down our display of snow pictures and put up a Spring display!

Post Office Visit
March 2010

2CR have been to the Post Office on Crighton Avenue to find out how the postmaster uses Maths. We learned a lot about the journey a letter makes. The postmaster told us about his job and how he needs to be good at maths. We saw how prices for letters and parcels are calculated. He told us a lot about stamps and delivery times.

We posted ourselves a letter that we had addressed and stamped – some first class and some second class so we can see how long they take to arrive!
