10th December 2010

On Friday 10th December Year 2 went to Clifton Methodist Church for the morning. They had decorated a tree for the Christmas Tree Festival.

The church looked wonderful with lots of different decorated trees. The children did a quiz about the trees and had a really good look at them. It was great to see our tree in the church.

The Rev. Godfrey (Mrs Godfrey’s husband) told the children about the advent wreath and other things in the church. The children were made very welcome and given a drink and biscuits.

Next they watched some slides about Christmas story while Rev Godfrey told the story. It was a lovely experience to begin the wonder of the Christmas season.

Christmas Fair

We held our Christmas Fair today despite the cold weather. Santa was able to be there and hear what the children were hoping to get for Christmas. Parents, Staff and Children all combined to make it a lovely event enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone who helped.

We banked about £700 for school fund but there is more still to come from the book fair, tea- towels and things the children have made. These will continue to be on sale next week.
