Mrs Calverley was very impressed that so many classes had a go and the school library will buy each class a copy of the shortlisted books in their category so that they can make their own choices and we'll see if Nestle Judges agree with us (get it right!)

We will then publish our results and do a feature to replace their link!

All classes in school are going to take part in this in order to try to be judges in this exciting competition.
The classes will be involved in activities which deepen their understanding and help them to express their response to books.

The prize is designed to inspire young readers and involve the whole class in

deepen their understanding and help them to express their own response to books.

All children aged 11 and under can enter the competition through their school.

The competition activities support the English curriculum and can be planned as part of literacy teaching.

UPDATE 21st Oct ...........

We  have had a letter from Nestle thanking us for our efforts but saying although the judges were very impressed we weren't successful in being chosen as judges but we are all to get a bookmark to say thank you.
